Rock Star Birthday

I have a rock star – or at least I believe she is a rock star.  It’s likely because I am prejudiced as she is my granddaughter. Before I get started telling you about the birthday card, I would like to wish you you a very Happy New Year.  May 2015 be a happy and prosperous year for you. My granddaughter turned 8 in December. I simply don’t know where the time is gone and I am so fortunate to have her close by watching her grow and developing her personality. Why do I think she is a Rock Star? She is a skier and is now learning how to snowboard.  I watched a video of her the first time she was on the snowboard and there was so much tenacity and determination about staying upright.  I watched her fall and get up several times.  Finally, she was able to go down the run for a little ways.  All the time I was watching the video, I cheered her on!!
