Here is a sneak peek of the new Free as a Bird and Floral Essence new stamps. These stamps, the coordinating Dies, Paper and embellishments are gorgeous.  And now, you can enter 1 item # for the how suite instead of entering each item individually.  However, you can purchase each product separately.

I have included the measurements for the pieces that go into creating this card.  Actually the cards are easy to put together, just a little bit more cutting than usual.

Cardstock and Paper Cutting Instructions

• The base card is 5-1/2″ x 10″, scored at 4-1/4″ and 8-1/2″.  
• The smaller piece of cardstock is 3″ x 7″ and scored in 1/2 at 3-1/2″.
• There are 4 pieces of Whisper White (WW)… 2 are stamped with the greetings, and they are 2-3/4″ x 3-1/4″, and the other 2 are on the inside of the card: 4″ x 5-1/4″. 
• The 3 pieces of designer paper (DSP) are 1-1/4″ x 5-1-/4″, 4″ x 5-1/4″ and 2-3/4″ x 3-1/4″

Stamps: Free as a Bird, Strong & Beautiful

Ink: Tuxedo Black Memento.

Paper: Terracotta Tile, Whisper White, Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper.

Accessories: 3/8″ Scalloped Lace Trim, Stampin’ Blends: Crumb Cake Duo, Calypso Coral Duo, Mossy Meadow Duo, Petal Pink Duo, Flirty Flamingo Duo.

The How Tos

• Stamp the birds and branch on Whisper White cs with the Tuxedo Black ink, let sit for a second or two for the ink to dry and then color with your choice of Stampin’ Blends, Stampin’ Write Markers, Watercolor Pencils or ink and an Aqua Painter Brush.
• Once all the cs and papers are cat as per the measurements above, attach the designer series papers to the cs with adhesives.  See pictures below.
• 
• Stamp the sentiment and 3 flowers on Whisper White cs.  Color the flowers using your choice of coloring tools.
• Before attaching the smaller card, attach a length of the Scalloped Lace Trim to the back of the card with glue dots.  Bring the trim around to the right and place a glue dot on the piece that the smaller card will be attached to.  Now, adhere the back of the small card to the right edge of the main card. Bring the remaining trim around to the left side and tie a bow close to the small card opening.

Ink: VersaMark, Tuxedo Black Memento.

Paper: Whisper White Thick, Petal Pink, Basic Black, Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper.

Accessories: Die Cutting Machine, Magnolia Memory Dies, Stitched Label Dies, Black and Silver 1/4″ Metallic Ribbon, Stampin Blends: Petal Pink Combo, Mossy Meadow Combo, White Stampin. Emboss Powder.

Details:

• A die from the Magnolia Memory Dies allows you to cut a decorative border on paper.  For this card, the Petal Pink panel is cut with the decorative border and a piece of the Magnolia Lane DSP is attached to the cardstock so it peeks out the bottom of the Petal Pink cardstock.
• Cut the label from Basic Black cardstock, and stamp the sentiment with VersaMark and heat emboss with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder.
• Stamp 2 Magnolia Blossoms and leaves on Whisper White cardstock with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and color with the Stampin’ Blends.
• Attach a piece of the 1/4″ Metallic Ribbon underneath one of the flowers.  Attach to label with Multipurpose Liquid Glue and attach the second flower with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Gift Bag Recipe

Stamps Sets: Good Morning Magnolia, Itty Bitty Greetings.

Ink: Tuxedo Black Memento.

Paper: Petal Pink, Basic Black, Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper.

• Create a gift bag for a long skinny gift from the Magnolia Lane DSP.
• Use the Nested Label DIes to create a tag.
• Cut a flower from the DSP with the corresponding die, attach to label, Stamp the sentiment in Tuxedo Black ink.  Tie to the ribbon.

First, I will share the packaging with you.

Recipe for Packaging

Stamps Set: Fable Friends.

Ink: Memento Black Tuxedo.

Paper:Tranquil Textures Designer Series Paper, Whisper White.

Accessories: Mini Gable Boxes, BIg Shot, Layering Ovals, Stitched Shapes, Stampin Blends: Dark Petal Pink, Light Soft Suede, Dark Crumb Cake, Smoky Slate Combo, Balmy Blue Combo,

These are so easy to put together.  

• Construct the box.
• Cut a strip of Designer Series Paper 2″ wide and the length you will need to wrap around the box and attach with adhesive.
• Stamp the bunny image from the Fable and Friends stamp set on Whisper White cardstock with Tuxedo Black Memento ink.
• Color the bunny with Stampin Blends and die cut with Oval Stitched Shape die.
• Cut a larger oval from the Layering Oval Thinlits and attach the bunny oval.
• Attach the ovals to the front of the box.  The  ovals make the bunny image appear to be eggs.
• Fill the packaging with Easter Treats.

Stamp Set: Free as a Bird, Itty Bitty Greetings.

Ink: Tuxedo Black Memento, Pool Party.

Paper: Pool Party, Very Vanilla.

Accessories: Bird Ballad Laser Cut Cards & Tin, Stitched Nested Labels Dies, Frosty and Clear Epoxy Droplets, Die Cutting Machine, Stampin Blends: Crumb Cake Duo, Pool Parry Duo, Color Lifter.

To Create The Easter Card:

• The Bird Ballad Laser Cut cards are beautiful and so elegant.  The cards feature a laser cut on the front. On the inside, a piece of Pool Party cardstock is attached to give a contrast to the Very Vanilla lace.
• Stamp the  bird on Whisper White card stock with Tuxedo Black ink. Color with Stampin’ Blends using the Color Lifter to lighten the ink to create highlights.
• Use Paper Snips to fussy cut the bird . I know, fussy cutting is probably not your favorite technique.
• Stamp the sentiment on Whisper White cardstock with Pool Party ink.
• Die cut with the Stitched Nested Label Dies.
• Die cut a larger label from the Stitched Nested Label Dies.  Attach the smaller label. Attach the sentiment  and the bird to the card front with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
• To finish off the card attach a Frosty Epoxy Droplet to the sentiment label.

Stamp Sets:Hoppy Together, Abstract Impressions, Lilypad Lake, Picture Perfect Birthday.

Ink:Granny Apple Green , Memento Tuxedo Black, Early Espresso, Blueberry Bushel, Crumb Cake.

Paper:Grapefruit Grove, Early Espresso, Whisper  White, Crumb Cake.

Accessories:Big Shot Die Cut Machine, Lakeside Framelits, Blends: Cajun Craze Light, Shaded Spruce Combo, Granny Apple Green 1/2″ Textured Weave Ribbon.

How To:

• Stamp the frog with Tuxedo Black ink on Whisper White. Color using the Shaded Spruce Blends Combo.  Using Paper Snips, cut out frog and set aside.
• To create the water, ink the wavy stamp from Abstract Impressions stamp set with Blueberry Bushel and stamp across the Whisper White panel. Stamp using the 1st, 2nd and 3rd generational stamping method to create light and dark water. Start stamping in the middle and continue down the panel.
• To create the land, Ink the wavy stamp with Early Espresso ink and stamp above the water.  Stamp off once on scrap paper before stamping on Whisper White panel.  Do this 2 times.
• To create the grass, stamp the leaves stamp with Granny Apple Green ink.  Stamp full strength and then stamp again without reinking stamp.
• Ink the “Hey” stamp with Crumb Cake ink and stamp on Whisper White scraps.  Cut a flag with the Paper Snips. Cut a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock to make a pole, and attach the “Hey” sign.
• Stamp the butterfly with Tuxedo Black ink and color using Blends.  Stamp the lilypad using the stamp from the Lilypad Lake stamp set with Tuxedo Black ink and color using Blends.  DIe cut and attach to water with Stampin’ Mini Dimensionals.
• Attach Granny Apple ribbon to the Whisper White Panel.  Layer the WHisper  White panel, Early Espresso pane, Grapefruit Grove panel to the Whisper White card base.
• Stamp “Happy Birthday” with Granny Apple Green ink.
• Use Stampin’ Mini Dimensionals to attach the frog, and the sign post.

Today, I have a card that will provide male birthday card solutions.  The one question I hear and/or see most often, is the lack of stamps to create male birthday cards.  Well, with the 2019 Occasions Catalogue, there are solutions. Accessories: Big Shot Cutting Machine, Garage Gears Thinlits Dies, Blends: Real Red Duo, Smoky Slate Light, Classic Garage Metal Elements, Black/Silver 1/4″ Striped Metallic Ribbon, Banner Triple  Punch.

Details

• Stamp the car in Tuxedo Black ink and cut with Garage Gears Thinlits Dies.  Color using Real Red Duo Blends and highlight with Color Lifter.  TIP:I find that die cutting before coloring sometimes prevents having to recolor because the die cuts have slipped and cut into the image.
• Cut out the group of gears from the Galvanized Metallic Paper.  The  gears are attached together, and if you want, you can cut some apart to use in other places on your card, or there are separate gear die cuts to cut even more greats.
• Punch banners with the Banner Triple Punch, using 2 different patterns from the Classic Garage DSP.  Stagger the lengths of the strips.
• Stamp the sentiment on the DSP with Tuxedo Black ink.
• Attach a length of the Black/Silver ribbon to a metal key embellishment and secure with adhesive to the back of the  Tranquil Tide card base.
• Layer the die cut gears, and then the banner strips.  Attach the car with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Secure the key  with a Mini Glue Dot

Occasions 2019 Sneak Peek is coming your way!  Yes, it that time again when we start to wait for a new Stampin’ Up! catalogue because we like new stuff! Details:

• Emboss the Highland Heather panel with the Dot to Dot Textured Embossing Folder. Mount on the Basic Black card base.
• Die cut a piece of Lemon Lime Twist cardstock with the Stitched Labels Framelits. As an aside, I am not sure why the Lemon Lime Twist cardstock looks yellow.  Stamp your sentiment in the center.
• Stamp and colour 2 butterflies (a large one and a small one).  There are multiple butterfly designs in this stamp set. Color with the Blends and punch.  Now for the best part, the Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper has a number of sheets with butterflies that you are able to punch out with the punch and use on your projects.
• Frame a strip of the designer paper with Basic Black cardstock.
• Attach Gorgeous Grape Glitter  Enamel Dots to the die cut label.

The Country Lane Fall Colors are beautiful with the purples, oranges, greens, and yellows. So,how do you turn the fall colors into Stampin’ Up! colors?  The Country Lane Designer Series Paper colors are: Blackberry Bliss, Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry, Early Espresso, Mint Macaron, Old Olive and Whisper White, all of which are beautiful fall colors.

Along with the DSP, there is a brand new product – the Galvanized Metallic Paper, which when used with the TIn TIle Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, creates an impressive background.  Tin Tile is used in home decoration.  Right now, the farmhouse, rustic look is very popular.

The close up show a good view of the Tin TIles and the effectiveness of this embossing folder.

Details

• Stamp a portion of the willow image on the Whisper White with Crushed Curry ink. Stamp the sentiment over the willow image with Early Espresso ink.
• Attach a piece of Crush Curry cardstock behind the Whisper White panel.
• Loop a piece of the Crumb Cake Classic Weave Ribbon behind the panel and attach with Tear & Tape Adhesive.  Attach the focal piece to the Country Lane DSP and then to the Galvanized Metallic Paper embossed with the TIn TIle Embossing Folder.

The other products included in this suite are: 3/16″ Braided Linen Trim, Chicken Wile Elements and Galvanized Clips. New Stampin’ Blends colors are also available in the 2018 Holiday Catalogue.  The colors are: Blackberry Bliss and Cajun Craze.  You can purchase individual light and dark pens or the combo packs.

This next card, uses several of products mentioned above.  The Galvanized Clips are great for adding interest and holding the Braided time.  The Chicken Wire Elements add a bit of the rustic farmhouse flavour as does the milk can.  Have fun with these cards and you will not be disappointed with the suite.

First Frost 2018 Holiday Series features cards created with the Frosted Floral Suite.  Over the next few weeks, I will be featuring other products from the Holiday Catalogue. This suite was the first one I saw that I had to have in my collection.  Ok, there will be additional sets, however, we will get to those in later posts.

Stamps: First Frost

Inks: Blackberry Bliss, Tranquil Tide, Mint Macaron.

Paper:Gray Granite, Blackberry Bliss, Whisper White, Frosted Floral Specialty Designer Series Paper

Accessories: Big Shot Die Cutting Machine, Frosted Bouquet Framelits Dies, 1/2″ Lace Trim, Frosted & Clear Epoxy Droplets, Champagne Mist Shimmer Mist..

The first thing that drew me to this set was the Frosted Floral Specialty DSP. The designs are exquisite and look like watercolor, the colors are fabulous and to top it off, the paper has a pearlized finish. For this card, I used the Gray Granite with the frosted twigs.

The flowers appear to be 3 dimensional resulting from the stamp design.  The stamp is cut to provide the shading at the same time you are stamping on your paper.  There are matching die cuts for the flowers and the bonus is that there are 2 die cuts for the smaller flower, so that you can cut 2 saving you time.

The label frame has 2 parts: a solid frame for a sentiment and a narrow frame that you can use to either use on its own or in combination with the solid frame.  There is a leaf that you can use (no stamp) to cut and use on your card.  The negative is a great stencil which I used on another card and will post at a later date.

Finally, the Frosted & Clear epoxy Droplets are delicate and very pretty.  They come in 2 sheets.  One sheet is clear and the other sheet is frosted.

Details

• Randomly stamp the leaves in Gray Granite ink on the Gray Granite panel.
• Stamp the flowers on Whisper White cardstock and color with your choice of coloring medium: Markers, Inks and Aqua Brush, Watercolor Pencils or the Blends.
• Die cut the panel with the middle label die cut.  Notice the decorative stitched edge.  In addition to the decorative edge on your image, you will also get a decorative edge on your negative cardstock piece.  You can use it on another card if you choose.
• Use the Pineapple Punch cardstock to die cut the flowers and the Soft Seafoam cardstock to die cut the leaves.
• Finally, place a piece of Poppy Parade 1/4″ Mini Striped Ribbon around the Gray Granite panel and tie a faux bow, and stamp sentiment on the Gray Granite.

Have fun with this summer treat new release coming August 1st, 2018.

Stamps: Daisy Delight, Celebrations (retired).

Inks: Grapefruit Grove, Pineapple Punch, Call Me Clover.

Paper: Whisper White Thick, Whisper White,  Grapefruit Grove, Powder Pink.

Accessories: Big Shot Dies Cutting Machine, Squares Layering Framelits, Daisy Punch, Stitched Shapes Framelits, Gold Faceted Gems, 1/2″ Lace Trim.

How-To

A few details on the creation of this card to help you out if you wish to copy.  And, feel free to copy.

• Use Grapefruit Grove ink on the Daisy stamp and create your background.  Stamp randomly on the Grapefruit Grove cardstock. Try not to overlap the stamp images.  Stamp the center of the daisy with Pineapple Punch ink.
• Stamp 2 daisies on the Powder Pink cardstock and punch with the Daisy Punch.  Layer the two Daisies so that the petals are overlapping.  This gives the illusion of a fuller  daisy. Using the Powder Pink cardstock gives less contrast between the paper and the ink and creates a softer flower.
• Cut 2 squares with the largest Stitched Shapes framelits.  Use a smaller framelit from the Squares Layering Framelits, place on the square  to create the border.  Attach to card front.
• Stamp the leaves with Color Me Clover ink and fussy cut.
• Tie a bow with the 1/2″ Lace Trim and attach behind Daisy.  Attach Daisy and leave to card front.
• Stamp a sentiment on a Whisper White banner with Grapefruit Grove ink.  I used a Mother’s Day greeting, however, use a greeting of your choice.  Sponge around the edges with Grapefruit Grove.

The stamp set is available in the current catalogue, however, the inks are from the new 2018/19 Annual Catalogue that is current starting June 1st.
