Over The Moon Card Recipe

Stamp Set: Over the Moon.

Ink: Tuxedo Black Memento, Blueberry Bushel.

Paper: Whisper White, Blueberry Bushel, Seaside Spray, 2019-2020 In Color Designer Series Paper (6″ x 6″) – Gingham Sheet.

Accessories: Die Cutting Machine, Stitched Shapes Dies, White Doily, Seaside Spray 1/2″ Scalloped Linen Ribbon, Frosted Flower Embellishments, Stampin’ Blends: Crumb Cake Combo, Petal Pink Combo, Soft Suede Light, Bronze, Highland Heather Combo, Real Red Light, Mango Melody Light, Mint Macaron Light, Color Lifter.

You Can Create The Greeting Card

• Cut Whisper White cardstock 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ score at 4-1/4″.
• Cut Blueberry Bushell cardstock 4″ x 5-1/2″.  Attach to card base with adhesive.
• Stamp cow on Whisper White cardstock, color with Stampin’ Blends and fussy cut. She is sporting a pair of red boots – quite sassy don’t you think?
• Cut a strip of the Seaside Spray gingham designer paper – 4″ x 1/2″. angle ends and attach to Blueberry Bushel panel. Cut a strip of the Seaside Spray 1/2″ Scalloped Linen Ribbon – 5″ and angle ends.  Attach to the strip of gingham paper.
• Layer a White Doily over the strips.  Die Cut a medium circle from Seaside Spray using the Stitched Shapes Dies. Stamp a sentiment from the Over the Moon Stamp on the circle with Blueberry Bushel ink. Attach to white Doily.
• Attach the cow to the lower left side of the circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
• Place a Frosted Flower Embellishment below the sentiment.

You now have created a cute cow card for anyone on your occasions card list.  How about creating more cute animal cards.

Hoppy Together Birthday Card Recipe

Stamp: So Hoppy Together, Around the Corner.

Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Coastal Cabana.

Paper: Bermuda Bay, Whisper White, Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper.

Accessories: Big Shot, Hop Around Framelit Dies, Rectangle Stitched Framelit Dies, Basic Adhesive Backed Sequins, Stampin” Blends: Bermuda Bay Duo, Old Olive Duo, Smoky Slate Duo, Poppy Parade Dark, Daffodil Delight Dark, Stamparatus.

Details:

• With the Stamparatuls, it is easy to stamp the “it’s your day” image in each of the corners.  Line up the stamp on your paper, ink up the stamp and stamp the image.  Now without taking the paper off the stamparatus, turn your paper 45 degrees, ink the stamp and stamp again.  Do this step 2 more times and you have an image in each corner.  How easy is that!!!!
• Stamp the frog, unicycle, bees and butterfly with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Whisper White cardstock. Color the images with your Stampin’ Blends. Stampin’ Write Markers , ink or Watercolor Pencils.  Stampin’ Up! has a variety of coloring methods and you will find the one you like and are most comfortable with.
• If you have the Hop Around Framelit Dies, use them to die cut the various images.
• Die cut the Bermuda Bay cardstock with the Rectangle Stitched Framelit Dies.  Adhere your colored images to the Bermuda Bay panel.
• To finish off the card, attach the DSP to the card base and the Bermuda Bay panel to the DSP.  Place a few sequins on the front of the card and you’re done.
• Remember to give the card to someone who is celebrating an event.  It’s sure to bring a smile to their face.

Details:

• Use one of the Happiness Blooms Memories & More cards & Envelopes for your card.
  Choose the cards that you would like to use.  Both these cards have a glossy finish to them.  I chose a large one with a Lovely Lipstick design and a smaller on in greys and white.  Cut the large one so that it takes up about 2/3rd of the card front and the smaller one may need to be trimmed a bit.
• Stamp the Make a Wish with VersaMark on a piece of Night of Navy cardstock and heat emboss with Whisper White Embossing powder.  Trim the corners with the 3/4″ circle punch.
• Cut a circle from Smoky Slate cardstock using the large circle from the Stitched Shapes Framelits.  Sponge around the outside of the circle with Smoky Slate.  Cut in half.  Attach to either side of the Night of Navy panel and then attach to the doily.
• Stamp the balloon circle, and the ice cream in Lovely Lipstick on Whisper White.  Stamp the cone on Whisper White with with Crumb Cake ink.  Die cut the pieces using the dies from the Broadway Lights Framelits.
• Attach the Night of Navy panel to the left hand side and the balloon and ice cream cone are attached to the right hand side.

Create a sweet Birthday card for a 2-year old with Bella and Friends stamp set.  The stamp set is great for babies, toddlers and yes, even adolescents and adults.  Yeh, a stamp set that goes from young to whenever you want to stop using it.

I did CASE this card from the new 2018/19 Annual Catalogue. Did you know the catalogue is a great source of inspiration when the creativity well runs dry?   Hve you tried the Embossing Pastes?  They come in 3 different colors such as the Shimmery White which as subtle sparkles and the basic White that dries to a mat finish.  Use any Classic Stampin’ Ink Refills to dye either Embossing Pastes. The 3rd Embossing Paste is silvery and dries to a shiny finish.  I would not recommend adding ink to the Sliver Embossing Paste, but if you are adventurous, you may want to try it.

Stamps: Bella and Friends, Birthday Delivery.

Inks:Early Espresso, Basic Black.

Paper: Whisper White, Lemon Lime Twist, Balmy Blue, Bermuda Bay, Picture Perfect Designer Series Paper.

Accessories:Big Shot, Balloon Bouquet Punch, Lemon Lime Twist 3/8″ mini-striped Ribbon, White Embossing Paste, Pattern Party Decorative Mask, Whisper White Baker’s Twine.

Stamp the balloons with black ink on designer series paper and use the Birthday Friends Framelits Dies.  Stamp and fussy cut Bella …yes, you are reading correctly. Mount Bella in amongst the clouds, group the balloons and dangle a piece of Whisper White Baker’s Twine from each balloon and extend to Bella’s paws.

Goodbye stamps, I will miss you!  Yes, we are doing the annual goodbye to many Stampin’ Up! products.  There are stamps, papers, die cuts, colors, and tools that we will miss.

I will miss is the Birthday Memories Suite with its Birthday Delivery stamps, Birthday Memories papers, and the Birthday Friends Framelits Dies.  Actually, I can’t believe this set retired.

To celebrate the retirement, I created a birthday card with the set.

I love fancy folds and this fold is no exception.  While I don’t know the exact name of this fold, I am going to call it a Pop-Out Fold.  As you can see from the image below, the inside panel pops out when opened.

Details

When you look at the front of the card, there is Night of Navy Baker’s Twine, which when you pull on it, will help to open the card.

The front of the card is uses the Layered Circle Framelits. However, you can also use the Layered Square Framelits or the Layered Oval Framelits to create an alternate opening.

Here is the inside of the card.  The best part about this suite is that you can use the framelits to cut out the images on the Birthday Memories Paper.  Along with the balloons, gifts and banner, there are foxes, cake and poodles.

However, this time, I stamped the cake and colored it with various Blends. You can purchase the stamps, paper and dies as a bundle and receive 10% off the individual products.

So, while it’s time to say Goodbye Stamps, it is also a time to rejoice as we get ready for new products.  It’s impossible to keep all the Stampin’ Up! products in the catalogue. It would become so huge we couldn’t lift it, let alone hold it.

Create this fun card for many different reasons.  Do you give gift cards, cheques or money in your cards.  Well, this stamp set and matching framelits is great to have on hand.  Also, you can create a box to go behind the pocket to insert the money or the gift card..  I tend to give a lot of gift cards as it is getting harder to purchase gifts for my kids and grandkids.  They all have particular tastes, wants and needs, so now they get to choose their own gifts.

Stamp the sunglasses on cardstock with the Basic Black Archival ink.  You can use various cardstock colors. How about real red, crushed curry, tangerine twist for bright and funky sunglasses.

A Few Details

Stamp the little girl using Basic Black Archival ink.  Let the ink dry or the ink could smudge when you start to color with a water based medium.  Use Watercolor Pencils or Markers or ink and the Aqua Painter to color the images.  I chose to keep the baker’s uniform white, but added Smokey Slate to the edges to give it a bit of dimension.

I chose to use 2 different patterns on this card to give some interest and to set off the images.  Did you know that you can mix and match patterns on your cards?

When we create a fun festive Birthday card, we tend to go with the bright and fun colors. Color is usually the most important element in the creating cards. What is the first element you notice on a greeting card? Usually, it is the colors. Once we choose the main color, then we choose colors to compliment the main color.

There are so many ways to choose the colors, with the Color Wheel being the main “go to” for our color decisions.

What is the Color Wheel?

Colors fall into several categories: primary, secondary and tertiary. See the Color Wheel below.

• primary colors are: red, blue and yellow.
• secondary colors are created when mixed with 2 primary colors.
  • red + blue = purple
  • blue + yellow = green
  • red + yellow = orange
• tertiary colors are created by mixing a primary color and a secondary color.
  • examples of tertiary colors are:
    • red + purple = red-purple
    • blue + green = blue-green
    • yellow + green = yellow-green
• complimentary colors – colors that are opposite on the color wheel.  For example red and green are opposite on the color wheel. They have no color in common.  Complimentary colors also evoke a feeling, The red and the green suggest a celebration.
• harmonious colors sit side-by-side on the color wheel
  • yellow-yellow green-green
  • red-red orange-orange

What makes the colors on this card fun and festive?

• The main color is blue (primary color) and the secondary colors are red or red-orange.  While these 2 colors are not directly opposite on the color wheel, they are close enough.

Ink/Marker: Black Stazon, Pacific Point, Crumb Cake.

Paper: Pacific Point, Whisper White, Crumb Cake, Birthday Memories Designer Series Paper.

Accessories: Big Shot, Circle Collection Framelits, Stitched Shapes Framelits, Birthday Friends Framelits, Watercolor Pencils, Blender Pen,  Pacific Point 1/4″ Stitched-Edge Ribbon, Red Brights Enamel Dots.

A Few Details

1. Card base is Pacific Point cardstock.
2. Attach a Crumb Cake panel.
3. Layer a piece of Birthday Memories DSP.
4. Stamp the fox in Stazon Black ink and color with various Watercolor pencils.  Blend the colors with a Blender Pen. Die cut.
5. Stamp the banner on Whisper White using Crumb Cake ink, stamp the sentiment in Pacific Point ink and die cut.
6. Die cut a circle from Pacific Point cardstock using the Stitched Shapes Framelits. Die cut a scalloped circle from Crumb Cake cardstock using the Circles Collection Framelits. Sponge the scalloped circle using Crumb Cake ink and a sponge.
7. Attach the Pacific Point circle to the Crumb Cake circle and attach the fox and the banner.
8. Loop the Pacific Point ribbon across the back of the circles. For added interest, make sure the ends and loops extend beyond the circle. Attach to DSP.
9. Place a star and 2 circles from the Reds Brights Enamel Dots on the front of the card.
