Ways To Keep Stamping When The Kids Are Out Of School
How do I keep stamping during summer school vacation?
Now that school is out, do you have a hard time finding time to stamp? Kids soon become board during the summer holidays if they do not have activities to keep them busy. Swimming lessons and family vacation are over for another year. The weather is not cooperating so the kids cannot play outside.
So what is a Mom or Dad to do with the kids? You love to stamp and cannot find the time to craft because you need to find things to do to keep the kids occupied. Why not involve the kids in your stamping?
2 Ways to Get the Kids Involved in Stamping
The Festive Birthday Suite
- Are you planning a family gathering at your home and you want to do some decorating? Use the Birthday Fiesta Suite to build a whole theme around the gathering. You could have a Mexican themed party and with the bright colours used in the suite, your decorations will be fun and playful.
- Get the kids to build a banner using the Festive Birthday DSP and the Mini Pompom Trim. Make placeholders for the tables with the Festive Birthday Cardstock Pack.
- How about a game with “Pin the Tail on the Lama”. Stamp the lama on Whisper White card stock and enlarge using a photocopy machine or the computer printer. Get the kids to help colour the Lama and on the day of the party, pin up the Lama, blindfold the participants, give them a tail, spin them around and let them find the Lama. What fun!
- Lastly, take pictures of the kids helping you prepare the decorations and the actual party.
Project Life
Now that the family gathering is over, take the pictures off your camera and print them out. The kids can help you put a project life album together with pictures from the party.
The project life Good Vibes Project Life Card Collection and Accessory Pack would be an excellent choice to create the album. The stamp set comes with the Accessory Pack so get the kids involved with telling the story and preserving the memories.
Involve the kids and you will be able to keep stamping!
