Great Idea For A Teen Birthday Card
Create a Teen Birthday Card
Do you find it difficult to create a teen birthday card? I know I do. It’s easy to make birthday cards when the kids are younger. When they get to the teenage years, they don’t appear seem to like cutesy cards..
My grandson turns 13 years old this month, so I need to create something that would suit the occasion and the age.
The Happy Celebrations stamp set and the matching Celebrations Duo Textured Embossing Folders fit the criteria perfectly. So off I went to create the Birthday card.
What makes this stamp set and matching embossing folders so interesting is the debossing they create. The image is indented instead of raised. Stamp over the debossed image and the ink does not touch the indented areas. For example, stamp the outline of “Happy” using Dapper Denim ink and deboss. Ink the background image stamp in Tangerine Tango, stamp it off once and stamp over the debossing. Therefore, the debossed area stays white (I used Whisper White cardstock) and the tangerine tango appears to be floating over the top.
