Special Handmade Mother’s Day Card
A Special Handmade Card For Mother’s Day
Mother’s Day is a special day so why not celebrate with a handmade card.
While I created this card specifically for my Mom for Mother’s Day, you can always substitute the sentiment for another and turn the card into a birthday, thank you or anniversary card.

I love making cards with scenes and this one was no exception. The Hardwood stamp was inked with Basic Grey and stamped on Sahara Sand card stock and each board was cut apart and sponged. To make the pickets, one end of the strip was punched using the “V” end of the Full Heart Punch.
The sky is sponged and the grass behind the fence uses the “direct to paper” technique, that is, the ink pad tapped along the bottom of the Whisper White card stock.
The flower pot was created using the Word Window Punch and the 1″ Square Punch. To angle the sides, slip the edge of the punched card stock back into the punch, angle the punch to take of a slice. Do the same for the other side. Sponge all the edges with Cajun Craze ink to give the flower pot dimension.
The Butterfly is stamped with Black Stazon ink, embossed with Clear Embossing Powder and sponged with Rich Razzleberry ink and Primrose Petals ink.
