Robin Williams – May You Rest In Peace
Robin Williams – You Made The World Laugh
Robin Williams died yesterday, August 11th, and the world lost a great actor, compassionate person and comedian. Robin touched many lives with his movies and TV shows.
The first time I was exposed to Robin Williams was in the TV show Mork and Mindy. This was a wonderful, quirky and funny show depicting an alien who landed on earth and tried to understand us humans with our quirks, beliefs and life on earth.
Robin will be remembered for many movies, comedies and dramas, and he was also blessed with an Oscar and an Emmy for his works. Who doesn’t remember Mrs. Doubtfire, the loveable Nanny who was stern and yet compassionate, or Patch Adams, a doctor who worked with sick children and made their lives happy during their illnesses and treatments, or RV – camping and vacations would never be the same. The list goes on and on.

While Robin made the world laugh, cry and be happy, he suffered with depression and addiction. He talked about his issues openly and tried rehab several times.
Mental problems plague many people. Because we cannot see the problems, many times mental illness is not recognized as a disease. But, it is, and it affects so many people.
If you or someone you know suffers from depression and/or anxiety, get help. There are many agencies available in our communities that will help with the struggles.
Robin Williams, dead at 63, may you rest in peace.
