Nothing like doing double duty with your products.
This is a card that I did for a friend. I had to send her something in the mail so instead of doing what I would do in the past – write a note on a sticky note and put everything in the mail, I created this card to send.
Recipe
Stamps: So Very Grateful (c-133053, w- 133050, p32 2014 Occasions Catalogue), Peachy Keen (c-133113, w- 133110, p18 2014 Occasions Catalogue).
Paper: Whisper White, Crushed Curry, Basic Black, Vellum, Every Day Adventures (Project Life).
Ink: Black Stazon, Crushed Curry.
Accessories: Scalloped Tag Topper Punch, Markers: Wild Wasabi, Gumball Green, Marina Mist, Soft Sky, Daffodil Delight, So Saffron, Primrose Petals, Daffodil Delight 1/4” Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon, Clear Embossing Powder.
The flower is stamped on Vellum in Black Stazon ink and then embossed with Clear Embossing Powder. I then turned the vellum over and colored the flowers and leaves on the back. This gives a Stained Glass Window look and with the embossing powder, there is a glittery effect – I wish you could see it in person.
Of course Vellum is hard to stick to a base. I haven’t found an adhesive that will not show, so I put a daub of glue on the flowers to hide the adhesive and layered on Whisper White card stock. Worked very well.
Both layers where punched using the Scallop Tag Topper Punch – love this punch
Of course, being me, I had to add a few things to the card. However, if you are in a hurry, just stamp a sentiment, layer the journal card on a card base and off you go.
I did some stamping with the So Very Grateful stamp set that is still available in the 2014 Spring Occasions Catalogue – but just until June 1, 2014.
