New Baby Spring Celebration
New Baby and the Swirly Birds
A new baby is such a joy and a reason to celebrate. Is there a better way to celebrate the newness of babies no matter what species? Birth is renewal and the continuation of the species.
I know I have said this before and am saying it again. The Swirly Bird stamp set and matching framelits is one of my favourites. Ok, it is for now. Ask me again after June 1st which is my new favourite. I think I may have a few.
With this stamp set, let your imagination go wild. There are so many possibilities. When I first saw the stamp set, my mind immediately went to bird’s nest. So, that is exactly what I created. A mother bird protecting and nurturing her eggs.
Recipe
Stamps: Swirly Bird, Sheltering Tree, Suite Sayings, Brushstrokes.
Ink/Markers: Emerald Envy, Marina Mist, Crumb Cake, Soft Sky.
Paper: Whisper White Thick, Whisper White, Crumb Cake, Soft Suede.

The Brushstrokes stamp set creates a great background for this card. The sheltering tree was stamped with Crumb Cake for the trunk and branches and the leaves were stamped with Emerald Envy once and then stamped again without reinking.
The nest was created using the Swirly Scribbles Thinlits from Soft Suede cardstock. The bottom of the nest was created using Crumb Cake ink and cardstock and then fussy cut.
The eggs were stamped using the stamp that looks somewhat like eggs and then stamped with the dots in Crumb Cake. Finally the Gold Metallic Tread was looped around the back of the nest and a piece of last tied with linen thread attached to the nest.
The sentiment was stamped on Whisper White card stock, cut out using the Paper Snips, attached to a piece of Crumb Cake and cut to form a border.
Besides a new baby, what images and uses do you think of when you see the the Swirly Bird stamp set?.
