Motorcycles – Fun for Dads and Moms

Motorcycles can be fun for both Dads and Moms whether each of you have a bike or one rides with the other.

The bikes are all different and which one you ride depends on your preference.  There are sport bikes, cruisers, speedy bullets. Sports bikes like the dirt bikes are for those who like to explore the back country and race.  Have you seen some of the racers?  Cruisers, like the Honda Goldwings are for touring and of course if you like comfort then these are for you.  And, the speedy bullets like the Yamahas, Harleys  are for those that like to go flying by you when you are driving down the highway.

Lloyd and I have done some cruising and I am most comfortable on the Goldwing.  I have a comfortable backseat and can view the countryside around me.  You certainly do get a different perspective of the areas that you ride in, much different than driving in a vehicle.

Well, Lloyd’s son loves to ride and so I just had to make him a birthday card with a motorcycle.

I didn’t have the motorbike stamp, so I grabbed the one off My Digital Studio and made it into a Hybrid card.

Stamps: Motorcycle (My Digital Studio 124491), Sketched Birthday (c-130426, w-130423, p24 2014/15 Annual Catalogue).

Paper: Whisper White, Midnight Muse, Marina Mist.

Ink: Real Red.

Accessories: Big Shot, Chevron Emboss Folder, Bitty Banners Framelit Dies, Island Indigo Baker’s Twine, Silver Brads (retired), Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers.

According to Lloyd’s this bike looks pretty much like Darryl’s.

A project was created in MDS using the Motorbike stamp, enlarged and printed on Whisper White card stock.  This is the beauty of MDS.  If the stamp is no longer current in the catalogues, and it’s available in MDS, it will never retire. WaYoo!!

The bike was colored using the Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers – wishing there was Blendabilities but they are coming.  Latest is late June, early July.

The only thing was the brads added about $4 to the postage.  WOW!  Couldn’t believe that one!  Next time he won’t get brads if it’s sent to Japan.
