Most Wonderful TIme of the Year is Coming
The Most Wonderful Time of the Year
Has the song, “The Most Wonderful Time of the Year” started going through your head? It seem a bit early to be singing and thinking about Christmas and the Holidays. It seems to me that this time of the year goes so fast and before we know it….it’s hereeee.
Why do we call it the “Most Wonderful Time of the Year” when we get so busy and sometimes we just don’t enjoy the holidays. Is it because we want everything to be perfect? Do we take on too many things and don’t leave ourselves enough time to just sit back and enjoy the season?
Maybe it’s time to get back to the simpler things in life and enjoy what we have (friends and family) and forget about the extraneous things.
Ok,, so I have started early with the Christmas cards and I think this card reflects the simpler things. There are limited layers, no heat embossing, no designer papers, a bit of bling, and a touch of ribbon.
Recipe
Stamps: Ornamental Pine.
Ink: Garden Green, Chocolate Chip, Gold Metallic Encore.
Paper: Cherry Cobbler, Garden Green, Sahara Sand, Whisper White, Vellum Cardstock.
Accessories: Big Shot, Project Life Cards & Labels Thinlets, On Point Embossing Folder, Gold Sequin Trim, Cherry Cobbler 1”Sheer Linen Ribbon.
Here are the ways I will keep things simple this year, and enjoy the season:.
- use a holiday planner
- shop early and wrap the gifts as I get them.
- keep my cards simple and get them done early.
- say “no” if my schedule starts to get unbearable.
- be good to myself and get lots of rest.
How will you make your holiday and Christmas season easier for you?
Leave me a comment and give me your ideas for the most wonderful time of the year.
