If We Don’t Have Hope, What Do We Have
What Is Hope?
Hope, as defined in the Merriam-Webster dictionary, is too cherish a desire with anticipation : to want something to happen or be true. How many times a day do you use word in a sentence. Often we want something good to happen to us, like “I hope I get the job”. Sometimes we are hoping for a good outcome for another person.
Hoping for something good to happen to us or another person. Why is hoping a good thing? Life without optimism is like sitting in a dark room and letting life go on around you. We set goals and then we set out to achieve those goals. We set goals with the anticipation that they will be achieved or too happen.
My card today is about hope. This would be ideal for a person that has had a terrible experience or is in the midst of turmoil in their life. We want to encourage them and reach out and support them.
Recipe for Hope Card
Stamps: That’s The Tag.
Paper: Basic Black, Daffodil Delight, Whisper White, Pop Of Pink Specialty Designer Series Paper.
Accessories: Big Shot, Timeless Tags Thinlits Dies, Sunshine Wishes Thinlits, Clear Wink of Stella Brush.
If you notice, there is no stamping on this card. What? No stamping? I let the sentiment stand for itself. Notice the technique used for the sentiment. Die cut the word “hope” from the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits 2 times, once in Basic Black cardstock and once in Whisper White cardstock. Layer the Basic Black words over the Whisper White cardstock. Offset the white to create a shadow. To add additional interest to the Daffodil Delight card front, die cut the butterflies from the Timeless Tags Thinlits Dies.
