Create a Handmade Yellow Valentines Day Card – Use Your Artistic Licence
Create a Handmade Yellow Valentines Day Card
Instead of red, I decided to create a handmade yellow Valentines Day card. Why would I use yellow?
Yellow is a bright and sunny color. To get past the next few weeks, bright and sunny is what we need to lift our spirits. I didn’t use yellow roses on the card, however, yellow roses signify gladness, joy and friendship.
To make it manly, I chose the Urban Underground Specialty DSP, the Hexagons Dynamic textured Impressions embossing Folder and the Urban Underground Cardstock Pack.
When creating this card, I used artistic licence. Artistic licence is the willingness of the viewer and the artist to reach a compromise on how the art piece is presented.
Handmade Yellow Valentines Day Card Recipe
Stamps: Jar of Love, Bloomin’ Love.
Ink/Markers: Tuxedo Black, Daffodil Delight, Crumb Cake.

Accessories: Big Shot, Hexagons Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Everyday Jars Framelits, Linen Thread, Neutrals Candy Dots.
The firefly inside the jar, emits bright and sunny light. Hence, the sentiment “You Light Up My Life”. A sentiment inside the card is traditional. To add to sunny feeling, the inside of the jar is sponged with Daffodil Delight ink. Small yellow hearts circulate inside the jar and ooze through the holes in the lid.
Inside of the card, a Whisper White panel helps the yellow sentiment and yellow hearts to stand out.
I know you are likely to say “Whaaaaaaaaat”. However the thought is evident. Do you ever go out the traditional norm to create your cards? Do you ever go out the traditional norm to create your cards? If you like traditional, click the LINK.
