Handmade Sympathy Cards Only Mean One Thing
Handmade Sympathy Cards – So Difficult to Create
Creating handmade sympathy cards, usually means only 1 thing…someone you know and love has been taken from you and there is now a void.
I like to create sympathy cards as I need them and over this past month I have made 4 of them.
Creating a sympathy card it is a great way to think about the person who that has passed away and the grieving family and friends that are left behind.
Sponging and masking techniques were used to create a background of these cards. However, with changes in the colors used, the focal art piece, and the use of framelits, the overall cards are quite different.

The masking on this card to create the silhouette for the birds in the tree branches was accomplished by punching out a circle using the 1-3/4 Circle punch from a sticky note, attaching it to the Whisper White card stock and sponging around the circle using a sponge and Island Indigo ink.
The Serene Silhouettes stamp set is a great set to have if you are making handmade sympathy cards. Just the images themselves say “serene”.
Happy Stamping
