Ink/Markers: Tuxedo Black, VersaMark.
Paper: Whisper White, Basic Black, Everyday Chic DSP.
Accessories: Silver Embossing Powder, Black Embossing Powder, Project Life Corner Rounding Punch, White 1-1/4” Jute Ribbon, Silver 1/8” Ribbon, Rhinestone Jewels.
Yes, I did fussy cutting for this handmade sympathy card as I wanted to create some dimension to the focal image. It took a bit of time to fussy card, but I like the effect. What do you think? Stampin’ Up!’s Paper Snips are great for fussy cutting because they have very pointy tips.
The dragon fly has a legend behind it. Walter Dudley Cavert told the story about the dragon fly rising from the bottom of a lily pond and it’s journey to a new life.
I have made too many handmade sympathy cards lately, and I hope that this card will be the last one for a while.
This card is special because it was for my BFF’s husband. I choose black, white and polka dots because these3 design elements were her favorites.
