As I said in a previous post, creating cards for men is not an easy feat. Women will usually like fancy with the ribbons, lace and embellishments. Men will usually go for the simpler road.

Ink/Markers: Lost Lagoon, Hello Honey.

Paper: Whisper White, Basic Grey, Hello Honey, Lost Lagoon, Moonlight DSP.

Accessories: Big Shot, Banner Framelit Dies, Bitty Banners Framelits, Circle Collection Framelits, 1-3/4 Circle Punch, Small Oval Punch, Basic Black Baker’s Twine.

The Amazing Birthday stamp set is a great go to for guy birthday cards. It’s clear and graphic stamps like the banners and circles fit with the male world. The other thing I like about this stamp is that you can cut the different elements apart and place them in different areas of the card. The graphic Moonlight DSP also lends itself nicely to male cards.

The other idea is to add the wood elements like the Essential Wooden Elements embellishments. I didn’t add them to this card as I wanted to post it in the mail to the recipient.
