Fun Happy Anniversary Card
Fun Happy Anniversary Card is Fun to Create
How many times can you say a fun Happy Anniversary card is fun? Well, I guess a couple of times.
Don’t forget to sign up for my mailing list so you receive the 12 Weeks of Christmas newsletter – a project to complete each week. Projects consist of cards, gifts, tags and packaging. The first one goes out October 2nd at 1:00 PM Pacific Time. Don’t miss an episode!
This anniversary card was for my DS and DDL who celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary last week. I sure as heck don’t know where 10 years went to…but it’s gone. That’s is why it is so important to make happy memories as we go through life. Things change at such a rapid pace that it is important that we tuck some of those memories away. Do I hear scrapbooking? Well, yes, and I must say that I have been lax in getting mine done.
Oh right, I’m talking about a fun Happy Anniversary card and not scrapbooking. See how I just get side-tracked?
The card uses an extended card base and then run through the Big Shot using the Circle Thinlits die. When using the extended card base, cut your card stock 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ and instead of laying the thinlit over the card stock, line up the area with the circle at the top and then lay the rest of the card stock over the bottom of the thinlit. You will get score lines but your card stock will not be cut.
For the inside of the card, I wanted to make it interactive. After all, it is a fun card. This is relatively easy to do. The Whisper White Bakers Twine is attached behind the circle with sticky tape and on the other end it is hidden behind the washi tape. The flag ends are folded over and laid over the twine and the heart in the middle has a scrap piece of card stock attached to the back and it is also folded over. The folds have sticky tape so that the elements will stay on the bakers twine.
The flags folds up into the card when it is closed and then hangs down when it’s open. I did have fun making this fun Happy Anniversary card.
