What better way to celebrate a birthday with the Foxy Friends stamp set. What is even better is a matching punch for the different parts. And, you are just not limited to a fox, but you can create a badger, cat, skunk or a dog. I am sure there are more but that is all I can think of right now. The stamp set also has a couple of trees that match the Perfect Rines Framelits. Wow! The possibilities are endless.
You can create woodsy scenes with the tree stump, the leaves and even the toadstools.
Recipe
Stamps: Foxy Friends, Thoughtful Banners
Ink/Markers: Cajun Craze, Soft Suede, Emerald Envy, Soft Sky, Basic Black Archival, Garden Green.
Paper: Whisper White Thick, Whisper White, Calypso Coral, Smoky Slate, Cajun Craze, A Little Foxy DSP.
Accessories: Big Shot, Perfect Pines Framelits, Oval Collection Framelits (retired), Whisper White Baker’s Twine, Duet Banner Punch, Fox Builder Punch..
A few points about this card:
- The banner at the top of the card was created using A Little Foxy DSP. I choose the pattern with the banners and cut them out individually. A piece of Whisper White Baker’s Twine was strung across the top and the banners were attached using Mini Glue Dots.
- The background was sponged with Soft Sky ink for the sky and Garden Green for the ground. Of course I had to add those cute little toadstools.
- The fox was stamped in Cajun Craze and an extra head was stamped and punched with the Fox Builder Punch and attached on the original stamped head with dimensionals. This gives the fox some depth and personality. THe eyes and nose are on a separate stamp so it was easy to stamp them with Basic Black Archival ink.
- The sentiment is from the THoughtful Banners stamp set. The banner was stamped first and the words were carved and stamped in Cajun Craze and punched with the Duet Banner punch.
This was a fun card to build and I am sure that my 8 year old grandson will enjoy it.
