Recipe For The Nailed It Birthday Card

Stamps: Nailed It.

Ink/Markers: Memento Tuxedo Black, VersaMark.

Paper: Emerald Envy, Basic Grey, Delightful Dijon, Urban Underground Specialty Designer Series Paper, Silver Foil.

Accessories: Big Shot, Hexagons Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Project Life Cards & Labels Framelits, Build It Framelits Dies, Silver Embossing Powder, Urban Underground Embellishments.

The stamp set and matching framelit dies appear in the 2017 Occasions Catalogue, however, they appeared on the Retirement List and have now disappeared.

Yes, the sun is setting on retirement products.  Purchase any of the products until May 31, 2017.  However, don’t wait until the very end because items that you really want will disappear.

Details

Here a few details to help you create this card:

• Use the Hexagons Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder on Basic Grey cardstock.  When you use this Embossing Folder, you will notice that it is thicker than the normal Embossing Fold.  So, to get a good emboss, spray the cardstock with water or rubbing alcohol.  I prefer to use the alcohol because it dries faster because of the evaporation properties. The Big Shot sandwich is: Standard Platform, Embossing Folder with cardstock inside and then cutting plate.
• Stamp the tools on Silver Foil paper using Tuxedo Black ink.  You can also use Stazon ink.  Let the ink dry before cutting with the framelits.
• Stamp the saw, hammer and screwdriver handles on Delightful Dijon and/or Emerald Envy cardstock. Die cut and attach to Silver Foil Paper.
• Stamp the sentiment on Basic Grey cardstock with VersaMark ink and heat emboss with Silver Embossing Powder. Die cut using the label from the Project Life Cards & Labels Framelits.  Also, cut a label from Emerald Envy cardstock,  Off set the sentiment label on the Emerald Envy label and adhere.

As a heads up, the Delightful Dijon, and the Project Life Cards & Labels Framelits are on the Retiring List.
