Paper: Bird Ballad Laser-Cut Cards & Tin, Petal Pink, Very Vanilla, Perennial Essence 12″ X 12″ Vellum Cardstock, Vellum Cardstock, Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper (DSP).
Accessories: Die Cutting Machine, Stitched Nested Labels Dies, 5/8″ Organdy Striped Ribbon, Perennial Flower Punch, Leaf Punch, Stampin’ White Emboss Powder, and Metal Rimmed Pearl.
How-to Details
- Cut Petal Pink cardstock 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2 and score at 4-1/4″. Trim 1/16″ from each 5-1/2″ side. Apply adhesive to the inside of Laser-Cut Card and attach the Petal Pink cardstock. ** The reason for trimming the Petal Pink is to allow the edges to line up with the card base and allow all the pieces to lie flat.***
- Stamp 2 Floral Essence flowers with Versamark on Vellum. Emboss with the White Embossing Powder and heat set with Heat Tool. Use the Perennial Flower Punch and punch out the flowers. Layer the 2 flowers together and adhere in the center. Ensure that the petals are offset.
- Punch 2 leaves with Leaf Punch from Very Vanilla cardstock and 2 sets of leaves from Old Olive Perennial Essence 12″ X 12″ Vellum Cardstock. Adhere with adhesive on the stems. This treatment adds a bit of interest,
- Use the Nested Labels Dies to cut a label from Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper (sheet with tiny yellow flowers and pink flowers).
- Use a scrap of Very Vanilla, cut a label with the Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper (choose a die that is smaller). Daffodil Delight ink, stamp “Fabulous at Any Age” on Very Vanilla cardstock. Adhere to DSP.
- Cut a piece of 5/8″ Organdy Striped Ribbon. Measure the ribbon so that is will lay corner to corner on the label. Make sure that you can do a soft overlap and there is sufficient ribbon to leave tags on the other end of the label. Attach the ribbon to back of the label DSP and adhere to card front.
- Attach the layered leaves to the back of the flower and attach to label. Place an embellishment in the center of the flower.
Decorate the Envelope
The card fronts in the Bird Ballad Laser-Cut Cards & Tin come with matching envelopes. The flap is scalloped which adds to the femininity of this product. To decorate the flap, cut a piece of Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper (same one you used for the card). Attach to flap with adhesive and trim according to the scallops.
