Embossed Fathers Day Card With a Stamped Surprise
Embossed Fathers Day Card
Create an embossed Fathers Day card with a surprise element. Did you know that you can stamp on the Textured Embossing Folders? This technique incorporates the stamped image into the embossed background.
Father’s Day happens on the 3rd Sunday of June in Canada. So I am getting ready to celebrate my father. At 95, I am fortunate to celebrate another Father’s Day with him.
One of the questions asked is ‘which side of the embossing folder do I stamp on’? If you look close at the embossing folder, you will notice the “SIZZIX” label. Inside the embossing folder, stamp the image on this side. Stamp the image on the folder’s right hand side.
Recipe
Stamps: Guy Greetings.
Ink: StaZon Jet Black, Soft Suede.
Paper: Thick Very Vanilla,, Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, Wood Texture Designer Series Paper.
Accessories: Big Shot Die Cutting Machine, Woodland Embossing Folder, 5/8″ Burlap Ribbon, Linen Thread, True Gentlemen Buttons.
Create this card using the technique for any masculine card. It is sure to please the one who receives it. Unfortunately, this stamp set is retired at the end of June. I guess that we need to let go of the stamps that we have used over the past several years.
The Woodland Textured Embossing Folder is still in the current catalogue, so if you don’t have the stamp set, try another set like the Animal Outing. Can you image the Giraffe peeking between the the trees?
Lastly, the Burlap ribbon is attached to the Wood Texture Designer Series Paper, the Linen Thread tied in a bow and the True Gentlemen Button attached.
