A dinosaur birthday card is perfect for my youngest grandson as he celebrates his 9th birthday, Time passes so quickly. Where did it go?
Kids love Dinosaurs and so I decided to create this card for his birthday. Stampin’ Up!’s No Bones About It stamp set is perfect. What makes it extra special is that the card is a shaker card.

A Few Details
The Layering Squares Thinlits make it easy to create the shaker part of the card. The thinlits do the math for you. All you need to do is determine how big you are going to make the shaker. In addition, pop up the window and frame with the Foam Adhesive Strips. Shake the card and the beads will move about behind the window sheet..
The Balloon Adventures is a discontinued stamp set. I was so sorry to see this stamp set not in this year’s catalogue. The sayings and sentiments were great to have and use. They could be a part of any type of birthday card. If you have the Balloon Adventures stamp set, great, if you don’t check out the Five For All stamp set which has a number of birthday sentiments. In addition, I am also sorry to see that the Black Stazon ink retired. It was a great ink for stamping on non-porous material like the window sheets.
The dinosaur bones were stamped on the Window Sheet and I used the Heat Tool to dry the ink. Line up the Window Sheet square over the Whisper White cardstock. Eyeball the approximate spot that you need to the stamp the full dinosaur. Remove the Window Sheet and stamp the full dinosaur matching the bones in Old Olive ink.
The inside of the card displays the “Hip-Hip-Hooray” popup framelit which adds playfulness to the card.
