Decision To Discontinue The Product Due to Quality Issues
Decision to Discontinue The Product Made By Stampin’ Up!
Why would Stampin’ Up! make the decision to discontinue the product, especially one that was only released less than a year ago.
Stampin’ Up! has always prided themselves on providing quality products to their customers and demonstrators. So with that being said, the Blendabilities line has not been performing as it should when it comes to the length of time that the markers are useable. It’s very sad for those of us who have fallen in love with these alcohol markers.
Here is the card I was working on when this announcement came out.
Recipe
Stamps: Indescribable Gift.
Ink/Markers: Tuxedo Black, Pink Pirouette Blendabilities, Wild Wasabi Ink and Blendabilities, Crumb Cake Blendabilities, White Gel Pen.
Paper: Whisper White, Pink Pirouette, Wild Wasabi.
Accessories: Big Shot, Circles Collection Framelits, Spring Flowers Emboss Folder, White Jute Ribbon, Pearl Jewels.
There is a manufacturing issue with these markers that have caused a high failure rate 30-40%. This failure rate is unacceptable to Stampin’ Up!’s quality standards. The manufacturing defect has caused the Blendabilities to dry out before they should have.
Stampin’ Up was unable to find a workable solution with the manufacturer. Consequently the tough decision to discontinue the product line immediately was made.
Blendabilities will not be sold either as regular merchandise or as a Sale-a-Bration item.
I am disappointed as well, as I have loved colouring with this product. There is no reason why you cannot continue to use the Blendabilities that you already own.
If you have purchased new ones recently and are affected by the defect, please let me know right away and I will work with Stampin’ Up! so that you can receive a refund or exchange for another product. You have until June 15th to do this.
I apologize for the inconvenience!
Even though it would have been an easy decision to ignore this defect, Stampin’ Up! has always stood behind their products. That is one of the reasons why I enjoy working with this company. Stampin Up did not make decision to discontinue the product lightly.
Thank you for your understanding.
