Create a beautiful butterfly shaker card for a birthday.  There are several elements on this card that make it beautiful and special.

Stamps: Crazy For You.

Ink/Markers: Sweet Sugarplum, Markers: Sweet Sugarplum, Mint Macaron, Wild Wasabi, Blushing Bride.

Paper: Thick Whisper White, Whisper White, Sweet Sugarplum, Inside The Lines, Glitter Paper Assortment Pack (2017 Sale-a-Bration), Succulent Garden Designer Series Paper, Window Sheets, Silver  Foil.

Accessories: Big Shot, Circle Collection Framelit Dies, Butterflies Thinlits,  Festive Textured Impressions Embossing Folders, Succulent Garden 3/8” Ribbon Combo Pack, Sprinkles Embellishments, Foam Adhesive Strips.

Create The Shaker

Not only is this a shaker card, it also uses the Spotlight Technique.  Use a combination of the shaker card, the colored Inside The Lines Designer Paper and the Sweet Sugarplum Glitter Paper.  Create the frame by die cutting 2 nested circles from the Circles Collection Framelits.  Don’t throw out the left over circle, you can use this for another project.

To cut the Window Sheet and the designer paper, use the larger framelit from the step above.  Using the same framelit will make your life easier when you adhere the various parts together. Because the Foam Adhesive Strips are narrow, it is easy to place them in a circle.  It is important that there are no gaps in the Foam Adhesive Strips if you use more than 1 continuous strip. Once you have the Foam Adhesive strips in place, add the shaker material to the center and adhere the WIndow Sheet to the Adhesive Foam Strip. Attach the frame to the Window Sheet using Glue Dots.

Unfortunately, the Glimmer Paper from the 2017 Sale-a-Bration is gone, gone, and gone.  It disappeared quickly as it was a free item, and who doesn’t like glitter.  Maybe we will see different colored glitter papers in future catalogues.

Complete The Card

To finish off the card, the Sweet Sugarplum is embossed using the Festive Textured Impressions Embossing Folders, a strip of Succulent Garden 3/8” Ribbon Combo Pack (Sweet Sugar). tied with a bow,.  Stamp the sentiment on a strip of Whisper White using Sweet Sugarplum ink, cut a “v” in each end to create a flag. Finally, die cut a butterfly from Silver Foil paper using the Butterflies Thinlits and attach to circle.
