Convention 2012, a Free Stamp Set and a Thank You!
Stampin’ Up!’ Convention 2012 was a blast. There were so many things to see and do, for example, General Sessions where the Prize Patrol was a hit with everyone that was there. When “Prize Patrol” is announced, the excitement starts as everyone waits to see if their colour and pattern wrist band appears on the screen. And if it does, the noise does intensify and you receive a suite of products that have been demonstrated. How sweet it that!!
Of course, there is the Exhibit Hall where new products are shown and demonstrated, cards and projects made by various demonstrators are displayed, a place to check out the new My Digital Software and a place where you can get hands on information on the new products.
And the classes..were awesome this year. Classes covered a myriad of topics, like, I am a Leader, why it can be dysfunctional, what it is, why it happens and how to avoid it; I am Earning An Incentive Trip, where demonstrators who have earned an incentive trip gave great tips on how they did it and how the rest of us can too; I am Reaching Out where fun ways were explored to include the emerging demographics (women 25 – 35, who value creativity) in your business.
At the end of each session, we were asked to either blog, tweet or Facebook about the class that we had attended and a few days after the convention, the moderator of the session would do an Internet search using the key words from their session. If the moderator was able to come up with your post, then you would win a FREE STAMP of your choice.
Well, don’t you think I was surprised when I got the call from Stampin’ Up!’s Brian Pilling moderator of the Leadership class telling me that I had won a free stamp set. Actually, I had forgotten about the challenge and it was a few days before I even listened to the message.
I did learn a few lessons, listen to your messages and SOCIAL MEDIA does WORK. I called Brian to let me know how pleased and excited I was to have won the FREE stamp set. And my choice…From My Heart. I know that I will get lots of use from this stamp .
