Stampin Up Cling Stamps and How To Use
Yes, cling stamps stick to your clear blocks! In the 2019 Occasions Catalogue, Stampin Up introduced a new type of stamp. From here on in, there will be only 2 types of stamps in the catalogues, cling stamps and photopolymer stamps. However, don’t despair, wood mount stamps will be available until June 3, 2019 in the 2018/19 Annual Catalogue. There is always exceptions though, the background stamps as seen on page 172 in the Annual Catalogue will be available in wood mount and cling mount.
Pros and Cons
Pros:
- If labels mounted properly, stamps will not fall off your clear blocks when stamping images. No more ruined stamped images!!!
- Can be used with the Stampin’ Up! Stamparatus tool.
- Labels are easy to mount on the grey foam backing on the stamps.
Cons:
- Because the labels are so sticky, the stamps will cling to any surface and may go missing. Always return your cling stamps to the stamp cases after cleaning.
- Once labels are on the stamp, they are not easily removed. If you tug at the labels, you may separate, the foam from the stamps.
How to Care for Your Stampin Up Cling Stamps
- Do not use StazON cleaner to clean the labels. If there is lint or other dust and dirt on the labels wash will warm soap and water or the Simply Shammy,
- The red rubber can be cleaned with StazOn cleaner, however, make sure that you do not get the cleaner on the label.
- Use Stampin’ Mist Stamp cleaner along with the Stampin’ Scrub to clean the stamps.
