Easter Card Idea
Here is an Easter card idea for you. Although Easter has passed, you can use the idea to create other types of cards just by changing the sentiment.
This card uses the Watercolor Wings stamp set. Spring colors such as Fresh Fig, Sweet Sugarplum and Powder Pink creates a beautiful butterfly. I used the new Stampin’ Up! tool, Stamparatus to do the multi-step stamping.
Recipe For Easter Card Idea
Stamps: Watercolor Wings, Crazy About You.
Inks: Fresh Fig, Powder Pink, Sweet Sugar Plum, Basic Grey.
Paper, Whisper White Thick, Whisper White, Powder Pink, Fresh Fig, Springtime Foil Designer Series Paper.
Accessories: Big Shot, Bold Butterfly Wings, Pretty Label Punch, 1/2″ Powder Pink Finely Woven Ribbon, Rhinestone Jewels.
Details On the How To
- Stamp the solid butterfly with Sweet Sugarplum ink, follow with the second stamp inked with Powder Pink and follow up with the Fresh Fig on the detailed stamp.
- Use Basic Grey ink to stamp the body. Add Rhinestone Jewels for some glitz.
- On the Powder Pink panel, use two designs from the Springtime Foil DSP.
- Before attach the panel to the card base, wrap a piece of the Powder Pink around the panel to hide the seam. Tie a faux bow with a piece of ribbon.
- Stamp the sentiment with words from the Crazy About You stamp set. Unfortunately, this stamp is retired. However, it is a great stamp because you can create your own sentiments. Once you have decided on the sentiment, stamp on Whisper White cardstock and punch using the Pretty Label Punch. To create a frame, punch another from Fresh Fig cardstock. Cut this one in half and mount on the top and bottom of the sentiment panel.
Now, using this Easter card idea, create your own cards for different celebrations.
