Birthday Balloons Help Celebrate A Birthday
Birthday Balloons
Birthday Balloons just say “Birthday” . Yes, our family celebrated a birthday over the weekend. Today is my son’s birthday. Two down, two to go for this week with more to come later in the month.
The stamp set, Celebrate Today, is a go-to stamp set for many celebrations. The sentiments cover birthday, new babies, graduations, weddings and the stamps allow to you to mix and match many of the elements.
Stamps: Celebrate Today.
Ink/Markers: Bermuda Bay, Watermelon Wonder, Crushed Curry.
Paper: Whisper White Thick, Whisper White, Tip Top Taupe, Crushed Curry, Watermelon Wonder, Cherry On Top DSP Stack.
Accessories: Big Shot, Balloon Framelits, Cherry On Top Washi Tape, Crushed Curry Baker’s Twine, Bermuda Pay Thick Baker’s Twine, Expressions Natural Elements.
To add to the birthday balloons and the celebration feeling, I add the “Celebrate” from the Expressions Natural Elements. Before it was attached to the card with Glue Dots, I sponge it with Tip Top Taupe ink.
As this birthday balloons card card was for a guy, I tried to make it guyish (new word) looking. I like to put trims on my cards, however, ribbon sometimes just doesn’t cut it. So the Cherry on Top Designer Washi Tape to the rescue. This particular set of washi tape is festive and is absolutely suitable for a guy. Using Baker’s twine also makes is a bit more masculine.
I find myself using Washi tape more often. It’s a easy way to give the card more pizzazz. What do you think? Leave a comment and let me know if you use washi tapes on your cards and/or scrapbooking pages.
