Adult Coloring – Why It’s Good For You!
Adult Coloring
Did you know that adult coloring is good for you? Yes, the same type of coloring that we learned at a very early age. As a child it helped to develop our fine motor skills, determine which colors looked good together, boosted our creativity and gave us a sense of satisfaction.
However, as we moved toward adult hood, somehow we stopped the practice of coloring. There now are studies that show the adult coloring is good for many things.
The benefits of adult coloring:
- Relieve stress – when we color, we let the busyness and frustrations of the day slide away. How can one be stressed when they are coloring?
- Exercises the mind – as we get older we know that it is beneficial to exercise the mind. Diseases, like Alzheimer, can often be delayed. Even if a person has Alzheimer, exercising the brain is still beneficial. Coloring exercises the left side which is the creative side of our brain.
- Allows self-expression – even in this day, some adults have difficulty dealing with self-expression. Usually the difficulty has arisen from some past event. When they are given a coloring page and crayons or pencils, they can often express their feelings.
As paper crafters and scrapbookers, we usually love to color. Here is a card that was colored using the blendabilities product.
