Add Color to White Velvet Papers Technique – Last Christmas Card
Use color on White Velvet Papers to add interest to your card. This technique is very easy to accomplish using an ink pad and Blending Brush. I used the Poinsettia dies, and you could use any dies with this technique. You will also see a video below which takes you through the technique as well as shows how to create this card.

The embellishment in the middle of the poinsettia is different in this picture from the one shown in the video.
To achieve the look in the photo:
- After the poinsettia is assembled and the leaves attached, put a dab of Multi- Purpose Liquid Glue in the center of the flower. Set aside to dry for a bit. Once the glue feels tacky, put some Gold Foil Flakes on the glue and press. Now, use a sponge or your finger to brush off the excess foil.
- Attach a gem to the middle of the gold foil flakes.
Unfortunately, the White Velvet. Paper is not available now….but if you are lucky to have purchased this before January 3rd, 2022 try it out and put your card in a safe place until next holiday season. You can still purchase the stamp set Poinsettia Petals and the poinsettia dies from the 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue.
