A Tribute to Tasha
Hi Everyone: For anyone who has a pet, we are often faced with the difficult situation when they are sick and this week I had to face that decision. I put my cat Tasha down as she was very sick. For her, that was the kindness thing I could do for her. She was my companion for 16 years. We had good times and times when I referred to her as a female version of Garfield as she had attitude. We could cuddle but only on her terms. She is at peace now and not in pain.
Thank you to my family, friends, co-workers and my friends from the Tangled Up in Creativity blogging group. Your actions helped ease the pain.

If it should be that I grow frail and weak, And pain should keep me from my sleep, Then you must do want must be done For this, the last battle can’t be won
You will be sad, I understand
Don’t let your grief than stay your hand, For this day, more than the rest, Your love and friendship stand the test
We’ve had so many happy years,
What is to come can hold no fears,
You’d not want me to suffer, so,
When the time comes, please let me go.
I know in time you will see,
It is a kindness you do to me
Although my tail its last has waved
From pain and suffering I’ve been saved.
Don’t grieve it should be you,
Who decides this thing to do,
We’ve been so close we two these years,
Don’t let you heart hold any tears.
Smile for we walked together
For a little while.
Until next time….
Karen
My thoughts are with you Karen. It’s so hard to loose a pet. At least she’s at peace now.
