A Christmas Stocking
Hi Everyone: One of my passions is cross-stitching and I have been doing it for over 30 years. I find it very relaxing. Everyday, I get in at least 30 minutes before I head off to work and even with that small bit of time have created some wonderful pictures. Over the past several years I have been making Christmas Stockings for my family and this year I did 2, one for Lloyd’s grand daughter and one for his great nephew. These 2 I have been working on since last December. It takes a fair bit of time to do and I enjoy watching the scenes unfold. So here it is. I will share the other one on my next post.
Stamps: Lovely As A Tree (w-115026 $33.95, p 114 IB&C), Teeny Tiny Wishes (w-115370 – $45.95 p 157 IB&C)
Paper: Soft Suede, Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Cherry Cobbler, Deck the Halls DSP
Ink: Soft Suede, Early Espresso Craft ink

What a treasure! Your beautifully stitched stocking should last a lifetime!
Karen, your stocking is just stunning! Wow! Such a beautiful winter scene that will be enjoyed for many years to come. Your card is wonderful, too! You created a beautiful scene with that set. Thanks for playing with The Paper Players this week! 🙂
I’m so jealous, I wish I could cross stitch like this, your stocking is beautiful.
I love the effect of the painting with embossing powders on your card, and the Lovely As a Tree is one of my favorite stamp sets. I will have to check this technique out when I have a spare moment. TFS
Karen – your stocking is fabulous! Love your card, too. Thank you for sharing two such wonderful projects with the Paper Players this week.

Very pretty, Karen! Both the card and the stocking. I’m also a cross-stitcher and have been making stockings for my grandchildren as they have been born. In fact, I have one in work right now. Your family is so blessed to have you.
Your card is just as fabulous as that gorgeous stocking! And there is not a thing wrong with science experiments! Thanks for joining The Paper Players this week!
Love your stocking. Such beautiful colors and details.
Your stocking is gorgeous, a real treasure. I have done cross stitch for years, as well. Very relaxing. I haven’t done any in a while. Your card is stunning, great stamp set!
OMG Karen….That stocking is just beautiful! My mom used to cross stitch and I know how long it takes. The image on the stocking is amazing! Great Job…love the card too!
Happy Holidays

Now, on to your stocking – OUTSTANDING! I know what you mean about the length of time to create this because I also love to do cross stitching. This is so pretty and it will be something to treasure always.

I love your stocking. I am working on two now to my new grandchildren. I was hoping that they would be done for their first Christmas, they will be ready for next year. I cross stitch everyday also.
Your stocking is gorgeous. I like cross stitch too but I haven’t done much in a long time.
