A BIrthday Card
Hi Everyone: I hope that you had a wonderful Valentine’s Day and gave out a little love.
My card today is a birthday card for my grandson. He is turning 8 and I would like to know where the time goes. He is getting so grown up. I have a special bond with him as I was at the hospital to see him born. His Dad was on a business trip and missed the birth by about 15 min. He was born a month early so Dad and Mom thought there would be no problem with a business trip. These little guys come when they decide and sometimes the unexpected happens.
He loves to ski and is on a race team and this stamp is the closest I could get to skiing.
Stamps: On Your Birthday (w-111664 $41.95, p. 163, 2011/2012 IB&C), Extreme Snowboard (Retired)
Paper: Whisper White, Naturals White, Basic Black, Morning Mocha
Ink: Basic Black, Sahara Sand, Baja Breeze, Marina Mist
Accessories: Big Shot, Timeless Type Junior Alphabet, Glimmer Brads, Dazzling Diamonds, Brayer, Versa-mark, Black Embossing Powder.
I love creating scenes and using the brayer and don’t do it as often as I would like.
I hope that you enjoy.
Until next time….
What a gorgeous background!!! wow!
What an awesome card for your grandson! It is hard to get boys excited about cards, but I know he is going to love this, Karen!!
Karen I am sure you grandson will love this cool birthday card. The scene you created looks fabulous and is a great contrast to showcase your silhouette snowboarder.

I never bought the silhouette ‘sports’ stamps because I was so into ‘girls. Now my little grandson is already THREE, so guess I best get them in digital for sure! Where DOES the time go? hugs
