My Favorite Valentine Card Verse –
Favorite Valentine Card Verse
Do you have a favorite Valentine card verse? One that goes through your head every year around Valentine’s Day?
Because there are many different relationships to celebrate on Valentine’s Day, I don’t go with only one verse. The verse needs to suit the card and the person receiving the card.
Cards for friends will have more of a friendship flavor. For example, For family members such as parents, children and/or grandchildren, the verse will focus on relationships between me and the family member. Finally, some will have a private message and/or verse, and I am not sharing that one.
Here are some samples of verses I would use:
- Friends: “Everyone has a gift for something, even if its a gift of being a good friend” (Marian Anderson)
- Grandchildren and/or children:”Roses are red, Violets are blue, Honey is sweet and so are you!”
- Sweetheart: Of course the verse for this segment can be whatever you want to say. Mostly, it depends on how well you know the other person, how long you have been together, and whether or not they can take a joke. For example, here is one that is nice, not too frilly: “Roses are red, violets are blue, My heart is full of love for you”.
It’s very hard to find a generic verse. It’s all about preference and who is going to be reading the verse!
