Beginner Card Maker – Where Do I Start
Beginner Card Maker
Are you a beginner card maker and don’t know where to start. Do you see beautiful handmade cards and wonder “could I do this”? The answer is a simple, yes you can.
Half the battle for a beginner card marker is talking themselves out of the craft because they see all these intricate and beautiful cards and think to themselves, “I am not crafty or artistic”. One of the most important things to remember is that you have to decide you what to learn.
That is why I am here – to get you started and help you along the way.
You don’t have to start with the most fancy card you have ever seen. Make is clean and simple. Actually, that is a phrase which is often used even when seasoned card makers create their cards. When surfing through the internet or Pinterest, you may have seen CAS card. Simply put, clean and simple.
What is clean and simple card making. A clean and simple card usually consists of 1 layer, 1 or 2 stamped images and minimal embellishments. Just because the card is 1 layer, doesn’t mean it won’t be beautiful.
What type of supplies do you need to to get started? When you are starting out, you don’t need to purchase a ton of supplies and break the bank. For example, Stampin’ Up! has a number of kits available in the annual catalogue which would be perfect for a beginner card maker.
