A Cool Halloween Card To Make

A cool Halloween card to make that is sure to spook you!  Witches and goblins and of course the bats that fly around on October 31st.

Do you have someone who would enjoy this type of card?  This card is also interactive which makes it a very cool Halloween card.

The card base is made using the Labels Thinlit Die, one of Stampin’ Up!’s newest products. These thinlits are so much fun to use and create cards with.

Ink: Black Stazon, Very Vanilla Craft

Accessories: Big Shot, Label Thinlits,  Witches Brew Washi Tape, Versa Mark, Black Embossing Powder, Heat and Stick Powder, Black Stampin’ Glitter, Label Bracket Punch

The How To

When the card base was run through the Label Thinlit Die, the end was made longer so that it folded into the card.  This gives you room to decorate the inside of the card also to write a message in it.

The thinlit dies sure make life easier to create a flip card.

The haunted house is from the Best of Halloween stamp set.  These “Best of” sets commemorate Stampin’ Up!s 25 Anniversary and are available only on line.  Stampin’ Up! is issuing these stamp sets once a month until the end of December.  If you purchase 6 sets, then you will be able to redeem your stickers for a free stamp set.  How great is that!

The edges of the cards use the Witches Brew Washi Tape.  This tape is so fun, it’s easy to use and you can use it in place of ribbon, stamps and paper to embellish your cards.

The Haunted House is embossed with Black Embossing Powder and the Bat and Witch are stamped on Basic Black card stock with Versa mark, heated with Heat and Stick Powder and then dipped in Black Stampin’ Glitter and fussy cut.  It wasn’t even too hard to cut all those squiggles on the bat wings.

The inside label is stamped with the large chevron stamp and inked with Craft Very Vanilla ink and then run through the Big Shot with the Label die that comes with the Label Thinlit Die set.

Cards for a Cause Fundraiser

Before I go, I have some important information for those who read my blog.  I, along with 2 other happy stampers are hosting a fundraiser for the Alzheimer Walk for Memories Kamloops.  Alzheimer is a life altering disease for those who have it and their families.  It robs people of their memories which are so important for those who love them.  Can you imagine your parents not being able to remember who you are or what you did as a child or even where they live?.

We are the Cards for a Cause group and we will be raising funds by stamping our way through the day on October 19th.  We will make Christmas memories in honor of those who can’t recall their Christmases.
