50th Wedding Anniversary

A 50th Wedding Anniversary is a huge milestone in a couple’s life. The Sweet Soirée Suite in the 2018 Occasion catalogue makes a great cake. Not only is it non fattening, gluten free, or anything that may cause an allergic reaction, the cake is beautiful.

50th Wedding Anniversary Recipe

Stamps: Cake Soiree, Flourishing Phrases.

Ink/Marker: Sweet Sugarplum, Rich Razzleberry.

Paper: Thick Whisper White, Sweet Sugarplum, Whisper White, Rich Razzleberry, Sweet Soiree Specialty Designer Series Paper.

Accessories: Big Shot, Sweet Cake Framelits Dies, Scattered Sequins Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Rich Razzleberry Light Blends, Old Olive Light and Dark Blends, Calypso Coral Light and Dark Blends, Pink Pirouette Light and Dark Blends, Night of Navy Light Blends, Color Lifter, Sweet Soiree Embellishment Kit, Shimmery White Embossing Paste, Sweet Soiree Decorative Masks, Pearl Jewels.

This card is fun to create using the different tools, paper and embellishments.

Details

Stamp the cake using Sweet Sugarplum ink on Sweet Sugarplum cardstock.  The cake looks as though it has a velvet icing.

Use the scalloped stencil from the Sweet Soiree Decorative Masks and align along the bottom cake layer and the bottom of the top layer.  When you are happy with the alignment, use a Palette Knife to spread the Shimmery White Embossing Paste on the stencil. Once the paste is dry, attach to the cake plate and stand.

Color one of the vellum flower bunches and a couple of leaves with various Stampin’ Blends. If you choose the numbers for the cake topper, color the upper part as well.  Attach the leaves behind the cake and the flowers on the front of the cake.  Attach pearl jewels to the flower centers.

Adhere the cake to the Whisper White embossed panel and a strip of the blue velvet ribbon to the bottom of the panel. Secure the art piece to the piece of DSP.

Stamp “Congratulations” from the Flourishing Phrases stamp set using Rich Razzleberry ink on Whisper White cardstock. I hand cut the sentiment and attached below the cake stand.
