Create Interesting Card Designs

You can create interesting card designs by stamping on the Designer Series Paper. Sometimes you find a Designer Series Paper that works perfectly.  And, the Painted with Love Designer Series Paper is the one to use.

Beautiful images adorn each side of the papers. Often it is difficult to make a choice on which side to use.  Shades of Calypso Coral, Melon Mambo, Powder Pink and  Rich Razzleberry combine to create beautiful stamped images. You can actually see the brushstrokes on one side of the paper.  Thanks to Patti Bennett for the inspiration.

Use line stamps that have a lot of clear space for this technique.  For example, the butterfly and the flower from the Beautiful Day stamp are great to use for this technique.

Recipe for Butterfly Greeting Card

Stamps: Beautiful Day, Dragonfly Dreams

Inks: Grapefruit Grove, Memento Tuxedo Black

Paper: Whisper White, Grapefruit Grove, Basic Black, Painted With Love Specialty Designer Series Paper.

Accessories: Very Vanilla Satin Ribbon, Stamparatus

The new tool, Stamparatus (available to purchase June 1st in the 2018/19 Annual Catalogue) is a big help when stamping on the card front.  I was able to stamp perfectly spaced images easily by moving the acrylic plate down one slot and never remove the stamp.  Yeah!!!

Stamp the butterfly on the Grapefruit Grove panel and on the DSP with Tuxedo Black ink.  Fussy cut the butterfly stamp in the DSP.  Layer the hand cut butterfly on the stamped butterfly using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  This provides the butterfly with some dimension.

I created a second card using this technique.  Instead of the butterfly, I used the flower.

Stamps: Beautiful Day, You’re Inspiring

Inks: Memento Tuxedo Black

Paper: Whisper White, Melon Mambo, Rich Razzleberry, Painted With Love Specialty Designer Series Paper, Share What You Love Designer Series Paper.

Accessories: Big Shot Die Cut Machine, Petal Pair Textured Impressions Embossing Folders, White Doily, Love Mini Tinsel Trim Combo Pack, Black Metallic Thread, Black Rhinestone Jewels, Classic Label Punch, Clear Wink of Stella.

Create the flower from the Painted With Love DSP and the leaf from a scrap of Share What You Love Designer Series Paper. Fussy cut both the flower and the leaf. Use Black Tuxedo ink to stamp the flower on the doily and attach the flower to the doily with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Use the Wink of Stella to add some glitter and shine to the flower.
