Congratulations Greeting Card
Create a congratulations greeting card with Stampin’ Up! new stamp set and matching thinlits. This card is simple yet elegant and the Flourishing Phrases stamp set and the Flourish Thinlits make it so easy.
The stamp set is great as it has a multitude of sayings that you can put on the card front or inside the card. The die cuts are beautiful and when used on the card the results are very elegant. The flourish can be stamped and/or die cut and combined with the flower and leaf die cuts.
Stamps: Flourishing Phrases.
Ink/Markers: Delightful Dijon, Cucumber Crush.
Paper: Whisper White Thick, Watermelon Wonder, Cucumber Crush, Whisper White, Night of Navy, Crumb Cake, Affectionately Yours DSP.
Accessories: Big Shot, Flourish Thinlits, Jewel Pearls, 5/8” Burlap Ribbon.
To create the card, I layered the Night of Navy cardstock on a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock. The Night of Navy make the Watermelon and Cucumber filigree flowers pop. The unfortunate part of this stamp set is there is no matching framelit for the large flower image. You need to fussy cut the flower or stamp it on a background layer.
The new 5/8″ Burlap Ribbon is a wonderful addition to the embellishment line. Because it is narrower than the former Burlap Ribbon it does not overpower the card. You can use this ribbon in the same way that the retired product was used.
So, if you are looking for a simple and elegant flourishing congratulations card, then this stamp set and matching framelits are for you.
