Balloons Celebrate Today and Everyday

Do you agree that balloons celebrate many different types of events? What do you think when you see balloons floating in the sky? What do you feel when you see brightly colored balloons? Do they fill you with anticipation that something exciting is happening?

This birthday card was created using the Irresistibly Yours DSP from the Sale-a-Bration catalogue. I used the stripped pattern and colored it using the Real Red, Pacific Point and Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Write markers. This paper is very easy to use as the glossy pattern will resist the color and if you do go over the lines, then you can just wipe it off. There is so much you can do with this paper.

Ink/Markers: Real Red, Daffodil Delight, Pacific Point.

Paper: Daffodil Delight, Whisper White, Irresistibly You DSP (2015 Sale-a-Bration).

Accessories: Big Shot, Balloon Framelits Dies, Whisper White Baker’s Twine, Crushed Curry Baker’s Twine.

A few things about this card:

It’s a quick and easy card that can be completed in a short period of time.
The red balloon was stamped using Real Red ink that was stamped off once before stamping the image on the Whisper White. Full strength ink was used to stamp the circles.
The strings on the balloons are done in Whisper White Baker’s Twine that was curled using scissors. – just like you would do for a ribbon on a gift. The string just adds the theme that Balloons Celebrate.

So the next time you see balloons, there is some festive event happening – it’s true Balloons Celebrate.
